Buteyko breathing is a well-known breathing retraining method for people who suffer from a number of respiratory ailments. It provides an option to using lifelong medications, machine and devices by teaching you to correct your breathing pattern back to physiological normal levels.

After participating in Buteyko breathing courses, people have reported lower asthma symptoms and less reliance on reliever medications, increased energy levels, clearer nasal passages, help with sleep apnoea and snoring issues, as well as a better capacity to engage in physical exercise.

The free seminar (which is also the first session of the course) can either be attended in person or watched online from the home page by scrolling to the bottom. This covers the history and theory of the Buteyko Breathing method, conditions for which it may be applied, an outline of the courses, and breathing strategies that can be immediately implemented for improving sleep quality and reducing symptoms.

While Buteyko courses can be difficult to find in some areas, Sydney has frequent sessions for individual courses, as well as for small groups. Paul O’Connell, a practitioner of the method and one of the founding members of The Buteyko Institute of Breathing and Health and its current Chief Executive Officer, travels to Sydney to conduct Buteyko Breathing courses for people to improve their own health, and also to train new practitioners.

If you are interested in finding relief for sleep apnoea, snoring, asthma and other breathing-related issues, please get in touch with us to find out the next dates and times that Paul will be available in Sydney.
